“I attended a Mind Calm course with Alison after finding her website and reading a little bit about Mind Calm. I had been through a tough couple of years having to deal with divorce and other stressful issues. As soon as I met Alison I felt really comfortable, she made me feel very welcome and the small group who were on the course with me were friendly and very supportive. I learnt so much about myself and how this was my chance to change my life and my outlook on things forever. After completing the course I spent a lot of time putting in to practice all of the training Alison had given us. I went off on a lovely holiday and kept up the meditation, I came back really calm and rested. However when I returned home it was like all hell had broken loose and there were so many things to deal with. If I had not attended the Mind Calm Course and not had such wonderful advice from Alison I would have had a major meltdown. Instead I just brought myself back to the moment, stayed calm and dealt with everything individually instead of everything being one big jumble in my head. My friends and family have noticed a huge difference in my outlook now, I now look at things in a positive way, no more black clouds over my head. Thank you Alison for all of your help and ongoing support.”

“I went to see Alison after coming across her website, and suffering from years of anxiety. The first time I met Alison I immediately felt at ease. There was a small intimate group of us which meant we got to know each other really quickly, and could all share our own reasons for trying the meditation and feel comfortable and support each other. Alison is one of the most positive and amazing people I’ve met, and everything she taught me during the course of the meditation made complete sense. Every week I left feeling I had taken on board a different outlook and lots of really easy techniques to use in my day to day life to help relax my mind. I couldn’t recommend Alison enough, she genuinely wants to help you on your journey to feel some of the happiness she feels in her own life. Amazing experience, and felt a lot less anxious since learning the meditation.”

“I have just completed a 4 week course with Alison Taylor concentrating on meditation and mind calm techniques. My reasons for attending were several including work related stress resulting in insomnia, and family worries which again affect my sleep.
I cannot recommend Alison and the course highly enough. She is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about this as a way of life and she is extremely supportive. Everything she says makes perfect sense and it is a very simple concept if you choose to practice what she teaches.
I met a wonderful group of people whilst on the course, but appreciated the fact that Alison only runs small intimate groups so everyone has plenty of individual time. I cannot recommend Alison and this course enough and will definitely enrol on a further wellbeing course with her in the new year. ”

“I wanted to do the mind calm meditation course because I constantly felt anxious and worried about so many things and situations that were going on in my life or what I thought might happen in the future. Alison is a very warm and enthusiastic trainer she really puts so much into every session and really wants you to experience real joy and contentment with your life as it is right now. The course has helped me to live more in the moment and not to worry about what might or might not happen. I have also benefited from the coping strategies Alison has taught me if I do get anxious.
I have met some lovely people and enjoy the regular gatherings to meditate together and to discuss with Alison how we are all doing and she is always supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend this course. ”

“I started learning Mind Calm to bring some peace and stillness to a manic lifestyle and mind. Alison’s teaching method made it easy to understand and helped to achieve the happiness and contentment I’ve been looking for.
I enjoyed the group meetings, it’s useful to know you’re not alone in how your mind makes things up that aren’t there!
I recommend Mind Calm to anyone that wants to make changes to their life for the better – in it’s teaching you learn to treat yourself better too.”

“I joined the course after it had been highly recommended by a friend. Having been labelled previously with  anxiety, stress, depression, OCD, perfectionism disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and trying lots of different therapies to ‘fix it all’ I was still on the look for an alternative method.  From day one I felt like my mental health was the biggest most important thing (a feeling hard to find) not to fix, but to recognise! I automatically stopped giving myself labels and am learning to accept and not resist ‘bad’ feelings and thoughts.  The group set up is supportive, everyone I met had similar aims from the course and it was reassuring to know, that I’m not the only person going through this battle with your head.  I meditate three times a day. I didn’t think this was possible as my day is jam packed, but after knowing and feeling the affects of the meditation, I make it possible. The games and quick fix cures I’ve learnt have helped me to stay in the present and not get caught up with thinking in the past or future! I’m still very much in the early part of my journey of having peace with mind although after 4 sessions I’m really feeling the affects already!”

“I have just completed a Mind Calm course with Alison who has shown me usable techniques for meditation practice to give me inner calm. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.”

“I really enjoyed this course.  Alison teaches with good knowledge, enthusiasm and a clear belief in the subject.  There are very few courses you can purchase for the same price as this one that offer such great opportunity – if, of course, you choose to apply yourself.  While I have not yet fully mastered the benefits of meditating regularly I still learnt many small ideas that help me keep calm throughout each day.”

Richard Duncan, Reading

“Alison first introduced me to the Calm Meditation method a year ago when I was having a family crisis and since then I have practised daily. I have become addicted to meditation and its benefits, not least of all helping me to achieve better and more refreshing sleep, after many years of insomnia. I have recently had one-to-one coaching with Alison, which has been a fantastic experience and really helped me to hone my meditation skills. Her lovely approach makes it such a fun and rewarding experience and shows how easy it really is to do. Alison’s peace and joy shine out of her and we all want some of that!”

Kathi Elliott, Tilehurst

“Alison put me at ease straight away at our very first meeting. I found myself opening up about personal things, when beforehand I’d  felt a little apprehensive and embarrassed about doing so. She has really helped me with Mind Calm to deal with troubling thoughts I’ve always had, such as with family and work issues. I would highly recommend Alison to anyone who needs to sort troubling thoughts that never seem to go away.”

“I had my first one-to-one coaching session with Alison less than one hour after I found out that a close friend had suddenly and very prematurely died. I was a little hesitant as to whether it was the right time for my first Skype session as I was naturally distraught. It turned out it was absolutely the perfect time to begin my sessions with Alison. Through the application of Mind Calm techniques it completely changed the way I grieved and I was able to be at peace with what had happened. It is surprising how something so simple could be so effective. I thoroughly recommend calm meditation coaching with Alison.”

“I talked to Alison about what I considered to be an insoluble problem which was causing me to lose weight and have sleepless nights due to worrying and fretting – not only that I was becoming very stressed about all aspects of life. Of course, I was trying to find an answer to the problem which was an impossible thing to do. She was very positive and encouraging and suggested the way forward was to meditate regularly – it was not difficult and she would teach me how to do it – the whole process of “mind calming” would help me cope with problems generally. Initially I was disbelieving, saying meditation was unscientific and largely mumbo jumbo – how wrong I was. The way forward was to think differently. The answer to coping with the myriad of unwanted thoughts not to try and banish them but to learn to embrace them and live with them. I have been meditating every day now (with the help of Sandy’s book and CD) with the occasional bit of “top-up” advice from Alison and as a result am now sleeping well and learning to be a much calmer person. I would strongly recommend you give her a try.”
